At The Support Nest, our mission is simple but powerful: to provide NICU families with the care, resources, and encouragement they need to navigate one of life’s most challenging journeys. Inspired by our own experience as NICU parents, we founded this organization to ensure that no family feels alone in the NICU. Now, we need your help to take the next step in making The Support Nest an official non-profit!

Why We Need Your Support Starting a non-profit requires essential legal filings, branding, and resources to begin serving families effectively. Our start-up costs include:

• $1,500 - Filing and legal fees to officially establish The Support Nest as a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

• $1,000 - Website setup, management, branding, and printed materials to spread awareness and provide vital resources.

With your support, we can build a strong foundation to serve NICU families with hope, love, and practical assistance.

The Benefits of Becoming a Non-Profit By officially becoming a 501(c)(3) non-profit, The Support Nest will gain several advantages that will allow us to expand our impact:

• Tax-Exempt Status – Donations will be tax-deductible for our supporters.

• Eligibility for Grants and Funding – We will be able to apply for grants and corporate sponsorships to expand our services.

• Increased Credibility and Trust – Being recognized as a non-profit will help us build stronger relationships with hospitals, donors, and volunteers.

• Stronger Community Engagement – More volunteers and supporters will be inclined to contribute their time and resources to our mission.

Our Story: A Journey of Resilience The Support Nest was born from our personal journey in the NICU. On September 25th, 2021, our twin daughters, Hosanna and Noa, were born at just 23 weeks and 5 days. The odds were stacked against them—statistically, only a 25% chance of survival. Their time in the NICU was filled with medical hurdles: surgeries, brain bleeds, BPD, ROP, and so many unknowns. But through it all, we clung to hope.

We committed to being there for them every single day. We held them when we could, sang to them, read books, and prayed over them. We learned firsthand the importance of having a strong support system—something not all NICU families are fortunate to have.

After 136 and 137 days in the NICU, our miracle girls defied the odds and came home, free of medical equipment and taking full bottle feeds—a reality we had once been told was unlikely. This experience changed us forever and fueled our passion to create The Support Nest.

Why “The Support Nest”? A nest symbolizes everything we hope to provide for NICU families:

• A Safe Space: A place of comfort and protection amidst uncertainty.

• A Collective Effort: Built by and for NICU families, caregivers, and advocates.

• Nurturing Growth: Providing families with the resources they need to find hope and strength.

• A Sense of Belonging: No one should navigate the NICU alone.

• Gift cards for gas and food to ease financial stress

• Coolers for breastmilk transportation for pumping moms

• Breast pumps for families in need

• Clothes for premature babies to keep them cozy

• Essential items for NICU and home transitions
